Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Dictafy: Voice Notes app (“Dictafy”) provided by the developer of Dictafy (“we”). By using Dictafy you agree to these Terms and to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA), which applies in addition to these Terms.
The service
Dictafy records voice notes, produces transcripts, and can optionally clean up text with AI. Transcription and AI output may contain errors; review important content before relying on it.
Subscriptions
Dictafy offers a limited free tier and auto-renewing subscriptions (e.g., weekly or yearly) purchased through Apple. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in your iPhone Settings › Apple ID › Subscriptions. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple per its policies.
Your content
You own your recordings and notes. You are responsible for having the right to record any person or conversation, and for complying with recording-consent laws where you are.
Acceptable use
Do not use Dictafy for unlawful purposes, to infringe others’ rights, or to attempt to reverse engineer or disrupt the app or any connected service.
Third-party services
Optional cloud features may rely on third-party AI providers (see our Privacy Policy). Their availability is not guaranteed.
Disclaimer
Dictafy is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee the app will be error-free or that data will never be lost; keep copies of important notes.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or loss of data, arising from your use of Dictafy. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Dictafy in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes and termination
We may update these Terms or the app at any time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms. You may stop using Dictafy at any time.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, USA, except where local consumer law requires otherwise.
